Originally entitled People Weekly, is a celebrity and human-interest magazine that was launched in 1974 as a spin-off of Time's People page and published weekly ever since.
The first issue had Gloria Vanderbilt, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and wives of Vietnam MIAs.
This Special Double Issue from September 14, 1998 "Best and Worst Dressed '98!" featuring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Brandy, Minnie Driver, Susan Lucci and Carmen Electra.
