The Penn & Teller Show In Las Vegas

This story is a fun one! Playing on the Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular Show in Las Vegas. It was a big highlight for us to do this show, and it was so much fun.

By this time in the band’s growth, we had a few national TV appearances under our belt, so doing a live TV show was not as stressful as our very first TV performance. This gig was really enjoyable for many reasons, but mainly because I'm a big fan of Penn & Teller.

When we arrived in Las Vegas for this show, Penn & Teller treated us so well. They also knew how non-stop touring can start taxing your health. So with that in mind, they had a few nice perks for us while we where there.

The hospitality food was great and they also gave us a generous per diem, which was a bit more than was customary at the time.

When we got to their studios for rehearsal, Penn & Teller made us feel welcomed and relaxed. They took time to just visit with us and hang out. This made the gig feel much more relaxed overall. You felt like this gig was more of a showcase of your music, rather than an audition.

The one reality check I had, and it was just personal one, was getting to hear Teller actually speak! The mystery of him not ever speaking on TV, and in all their shows, was no longer a mystery.

I know it's their professional on stage persona’s, but it was so cool meeting Teller while he was in character and not speaking. Then he did, and it was like getting to see behind the curtain. He was so lay back and cool. It was all so much fun and I had a blast.

When all was said and done, Penn & Teller's time visiting with us was quite surreal, and it was definitely one of my most fun gigs. They really made all of us feel so special, individually and together as a band.

This signed thank you below was a just one example of how funny and nice Penn & Teller were to us. They even took time to make sure we all got a personally signed thank you from them, and from the show. Not to many shows or celebrities do that. Pretty cool!
